(18 months – 2.5 years) – Nurturing toddlers as they explore independence and sensory learning.
 Licensed for 14 children

Casa A

 (2.5 – 6 years) – Guiding preschoolers through practical life skills, early literacy, and social development. 
Licensed for 16 children

Casa B

(2.5 – 6 years) – Supporting preschoolers in curiosity-driven, hands-on learning and school readiness.
Licensed for 24 children

Where we Started & what we offer:

Founded on February 6th, 2023, Sleeping Giant Child Care Services is a not-for-profit centre fostering a Montessori-inspired programing. Sleeping Giant is located in Thunder Bay and is licensed for 54 children per day — 40 preschoolers and 14 toddlers.

At Sleeping Giant, we follow the lead of the child, fostering exploration, independence, and a love of learning in a warm, home-like environment. Our Montessori-inspired approach emphasizes respect, creativity, and holistic growth, ensuring every child feels supported and inspired to reach their full potential.

Sleeping Giant Child Care Services is proud to be a fully funded childcare centre supported through the Thunder Bay District Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB). This funding support allows us to continue providing high-quality, inclusive, and accessible early learning and childcare services for children and families within our community. We remain committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive while supporting families with affordable childcare options.
